The Gangrel Vampires share the closest ties to the Garou and many times can avoid their wrath. It has been said these ties can be linked to the Gangrel's shape shifting abilities. When a mortal describes seeing a Vampire turn into a wolf or a bat, the vampire being described is probably Gangrel.
